THEORIES OF THE LEARNING

The theories of the learning are conceptual systems that they try to explain the process by means of which the animal and humans learn.

Introduction

theories of the learning of the children

As professors, we know that the theories of the learning are systems of laws and concepts that were conceived with the aim of explaining how the brain is able to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities and as they accede to the information to obtain it.

The theoreticians also tried to explain how the learning modifies the conduct, in addition to helping to predict and controlling the human behavior at the same time as designed strategies to harness this learning.

Theories of the learning

Theory of the conductismo

This theory postulates that the apprentice does not play an active role in his own learning and that only acts consequently of the stimuli that receive from the surroundings. The subject receives an external stimulus and reacts emitting an answer. This answer will be the same whenever the stimulus is perceived.

This model establishes that only the observable phenomena are objects of study study and does not leave any margin to the phenomena that take place in the mental structure of the apprentice and they conceive it as an organism that adapts to the means in which it lives.

Mental theory

The currents focused in the mental perspective focus in the study of the mind and the human processes as determinants of the learning, a process that changes the cognitive structures, as a result of the interaction with the environment.

For the conductistas the apprentice in a processor of information, nonprogrammable, and has an active participation in the process of construction of his learning, therefore, the knowledge can be seen as a scheme or system constructed from symbolic mental representations.

Theory humanist

The paradigm humanist establishes that it is due to study to the apprentice as a set, especially to his growth and development throughout his life.

For the humanist, the learning is a customized question and it concentrates in the apprentice, for whom the internal phenomena as the motivation and the feelings are key for their effective learning throughout their life.

The learning is real if it comes from the experience, a process in which it is due to study how intellectual, social, physical and emotional the qualities affect to the learning.

Theory of the social learning

For this model great part of the learning is obtained from the observation, especially the primary learning, that basically imitates the conduct of the parents and other people around.

The people are worth of the social interaction to know how how to act, something that would be very difficult to learn if it depended alone on a experience.

If a conduct model is had to follow, it is easier to guide the actions to produce a change of conduct.

The basic example of this model is the one of the imitation of the violence of the children, as a reflection of the violence of the parents.

Theory of the significant learning

It raises a constructivist approach of the learning, that is to say, that so that the learning happens is precise valerse of the previous knowledge that are related to the new information that, after processing, will be gotten up to the mental structure.

This model is centered actually as generator of knowledge more lasting than they are integrated better to the mental structure of such form that are available when initiating a new cycle of learning.

The success in the incorporation of built-in complex knowledge depends on the good that are the previous knowledge related them. This accelerates the learning process whenever a related event takes place.

Criteria of the theories of the learning

  • The learning implies a change of conduct or capacity to conduct itself.
  • The learning takes place when the subject is able to do something differently.
  • The learning can be evaluated from which the apprentice says, he writes or he does.
  • The learning obtains when using the variables available to find the solutions.
  • Capacity to predict and to incorporate new facts.

Perspective for the design of the Theories.

Some theories were the base for the generation of new theories. And others, however, arose as a reaction opposed to a previous one from a different perspective.

The main theories were designed from four perspective:

  • The observable conduct.
  • The learning as mental process.
  • The paper of the emotions and affection in the learning.
  • The social learning.
